A week has passed since returning from our first cruise, and I wanted to wait a while, returning to normality.
Thank you for being part of a wonderful experience, with memories of us singing along with you. Future holidays will have a lot to live up to.
Hoping that we are lucky enough to see and hear you again.

Your interview on Radio 4 was so wonderful and inspiring. I am passionate about singing and now at 55 am at last performing . I lost my hearing in one ear 15 years ago due to Meunière’s and I have had such a chip on my shoulder about it until hearing your story. Thank you so much for sharing it. It has helped me so much! You’re incredible .

Hi Philip, I've just been blown away by your story on Radio 4, in fact I had a tear in my eye! You are a very special person and have found your true place in this world, bringing joy to thousands with your beautiful voice. I used to live in Putney, wonder if I ever got your bus?! Some time ago I learned BSL and worked with deaf children, a job I loved. Wishing you a wonderful future - God bless you and your voice !!! xx

Had to listen to the show after hearing his great voice on a recent cruise.
With all the terrible news that is going on in the world, it was uplifting to know that despite Phillip's illness, with strength and the encouragement of people around him, he realised his dream.

What an inspirational story. Was gripped listening to you on radio 4. Wonderful to hear your tales of Joseph Chamberlain (I had a great time there) and Dave Henson, he was also the choir lead at my secondary school and an inspiration to many. I still love singing in choirs today!

Thank you for such an incredibly moving interview. I was on the M5 on my way to see my 21 year old daughter ( born moderately deaf in both ears and wears hearing aids) who also sings on pitch and hid her disability when auditioning for her university acapella group Sweet Nothings. Needless to say, when my petrol light came on I chose to drive on to the next service station so I could hear the end of your inspirational life story. Thank you.

After seeing Phillip on our recent cruise we couldn't wait to hear him on radio 4 on Friday. He is a fantastic performer and his show was a great hit with everyone on board. He enjoyed meeting people round about the ship and was only too happy to chat. Such a lovely person.

    What a wonderful story!
Both truly inspirational and entertaining as well.
I was listening on my car radio, and was shouting out when we heard of the deafness, and then grinning for miles when we then learnt what Phillip did with it!

Amazing story on life changing, Philip! Thanks so much for telling your story. 26 years ago, my Mum nearly died of meningitis at the age of 60 but - thanks to a lot of prayer - was healed. She too lost all the hearing in one ear and a lot of what she had in the other one. But now, thanks to a cochlear implant she can hear better than she could after the illness, even though she is losing her sight to macular degeneration and so losing the ability to lip-read. But even now, she often talks about the importance of staying positive, and her faith helps. I must try to transcribe your interview because I know how much your story will speak to her.

    Bro, you smashed it !!

Just listened to around 20+mins of your story on Radio4. Just got home and thought I need to find this guy and say what a story, what strong determined character, so many lovely people on your journey. You are so blessed. I know nothing more than the 20mins I heard, but feel you are and could be such an inspiration, role model to so many young people. JC college, brings back memories. Your brother, teacher(s), nurse, friend deserved a mention and thanks. And remember, don't give up the bus license, dad's watching. Respect.

Hello Phil. I was so inspired by your story on Life Changing. I missed the beginning and, frustratingly, I cannot re listen to the episode as it’s not listed on BBC Iplayer.
The way you dealt with your hearing impairment was amazing. I have a 16yr old granddaughter who is totally deaf in one ear and partially deaf in the other. She loves musical theatre but struggles to be selected because of the difficulty singing in tune. Would you have any advice you could give her?

Just heard the BBC interview on 'Life changing'. Normally, in the car, I switch the radio off and go inside the house. But this story was so well told that I stayed in the car for half an hour.
PB should know that when he needs/wants extra work he can do voice-overs. His rendition of various other characters' voices, esp. of his father, was gifted.
