Your interview on Radio 4 was so wonderful and inspiring. I am passionate about singing and now at 55 am at last performing . I lost my hearing in one ear 15 years ago due to Meunière’s and I have

Hi Philip, I've just been blown away by your story on Radio 4, in fact I had a tear in my eye! You are a very special person and have found your true place in this world, bringing joy to thousands
with your beautiful voice. I used to live in Putney, wonder if I ever got your bus?! Some time ago I learned BSL and worked with deaf children, a job I loved. Wishing you a wonderful future - God
bless you and your voice !!! xx

Had to listen to the show after hearing his great voice on a recent cruise.
With all the terrible news that is going on in the world, it was uplifting to know that despite Phillip's illness, with strength and the encouragement of people around him, he realised his
dream.

What an inspirational story. Was gripped listening to you on radio 4. Wonderful to hear your tales of Joseph Chamberlain (I had a great time there) and Dave Henson, he was also the choir lead at my
secondary school and an inspiration to many. I still love singing in choirs today!

Thank you for such an incredibly moving interview. I was on the M5 on my way to see my 21 year old daughter ( born moderately deaf in both ears and wears hearing aids) who also sings on pitch and hid
her disability when auditioning for her university acapella group Sweet Nothings. Needless to say, when my petrol light came on I chose to drive on to the next service station so I could hear the end
of your inspirational life story. Thank you.

Amazing story on life changing, Philip! Thanks so much for telling your story. 26 years ago, my Mum nearly died of meningitis at the age of 60 but - thanks to a lot of prayer - was healed. She too
lost all the hearing in one ear and a lot of what she had in the other one. But now, thanks to a cochlear implant she can hear better than she could after the illness, even though she is losing her
sight to macular degeneration and so losing the ability to lip-read. But even now, she often talks about the importance of staying positive, and her faith helps. I must try to transcribe your
interview because I know how much your story will speak to her.

journey. You are so blessed. I know nothing more than the 20mins I heard, but feel you are and could be such an inspiration, role model to so many young people. JC college, brings back memories. Your

Hello Phil. I was so inspired by your story on Life Changing. I missed the beginning and, frustratingly, I cannot re listen to the episode as it’s not listed on BBC Iplayer.
The way you dealt with your hearing impairment was amazing. I have a 16yr old granddaughter who is totally deaf in one ear and partially deaf in the other. She loves musical theatre but struggles to

I first met Mr Phillip Browne on board Azura in 2015 when we chatted over a coffee, I am so glad I did. We went to his show that evening when he invited my very recently married daughter and her new
husband up on stage to recreate their first dance.
What a show, my wife and I were blown away by his amazing voice and incredible stage presence. In particular, his own song, Butterflies, was so emotional, beautifully sung and with an amazing piano
background, I will never forget that song on that night. I was hooked and as for my wife, I now understand the expression 'to go weak at the knees'.
We have remained in touch, we saw Phil next when he played Caiaphas in Jesus Christ Superstar at the Regents Park Theartre, his performance and that incredible deep voice captivated the
audience.
Then he played Molokov alongside Michael Ball in Chess at the London Coliseum, a superb show, his voice suited the part perfectly and his performance and presence held the audience.
I look forward to seeing Phil on stage soon.
To add to this Phillip is just a really nice person and family man, he always has time with a winning smile and great personality, add this to true talent and you have a perfect combination. It an
honour to know him.

there with a suitcase waiting (you), so went over to you and I said to you, hey mate so are you leaving us already? thinking you where one of the staff on board, then you explained who and why you
where there, funny little world isn't it really. Oh mean't to say we where so touched with the photos and story you told us, so proudly of your wonderful family. Chat soon, love from these two

I lost my hearing in one ear 15 years ago due to Meunière’s and I have had such a chip on my shoulder about it until hearing your story. Thank you so much for sharing it. It has helped me so much! You’re incredible .

Hi Philip, I've just been blown away by your story on Radio 4, in fact I had a tear in my eye! You are a very special person and have found your true place in this world, bringing joy to thousands with your beautiful voice. I used to live in Putney, wonder if I ever got your bus?! Some time ago I learned BSL and worked with deaf children, a job I loved. Wishing you a wonderful future - God bless you and your voice !!! xx

Had to listen to the show after hearing his great voice on a recent cruise.
With all the terrible news that is going on in the world, it was uplifting to know that despite Phillip's illness, with strength and the encouragement of people around him, he realised his dream.

What an inspirational story. Was gripped listening to you on radio 4. Wonderful to hear your tales of Joseph Chamberlain (I had a great time there) and Dave Henson, he was also the choir lead at my secondary school and an inspiration to many. I still love singing in choirs today!
Rebecca Shaw (Sunday, 25 May 2025 17:02)
Thank you for such an incredibly moving interview. I was on the M5 on my way to see my 21 year old daughter ( born moderately deaf in both ears and wears hearing aids) who also sings on pitch and hid her disability when auditioning for her university acapella group Sweet Nothings. Needless to say, when my petrol light came on I chose to drive on to the next service station so I could hear the end of your inspirational life story. Thank you.

To my dear brother.
I am so proud of you. Although I know your story, it still moves me to hear it. You are such an inspiration to me and others. Your story needed to be told, and I'm so glad you told it as people need stories like yours to give them hope that dispite it all, dreams can come true. Well done.

After seeing Phillip on our recent cruise we couldn't wait to hear him on radio 4 on Friday. He is a fantastic performer and his show was a great hit with everyone on board. He enjoyed meeting people round about the ship and was only too happy to chat. Such a lovely person.

Phillip how wonderful to hear your story. Absolutely inspirational. My grandchildren are neurodiverse and struggle to fit in at school. I want them to listen to your story and inspire them never to give up on their dreams. X x x

What a wonderful story!
Both truly inspirational and entertaining as well.
I was listening on my car radio, and was shouting out when we heard of the deafness, and then grinning for miles when we then learnt what Phillip did with it!

Amazing story on life changing, Philip! Thanks so much for telling your story. 26 years ago, my Mum nearly died of meningitis at the age of 60 but - thanks to a lot of prayer - was healed. She too lost all the hearing in one ear and a lot of what she had in the other one. But now, thanks to a cochlear implant she can hear better than she could after the illness, even though she is losing her sight to macular degeneration and so losing the ability to lip-read. But even now, she often talks about the importance of staying positive, and her faith helps. I must try to transcribe your interview because I know how much your story will speak to her.

Bro, you smashed it !!
Just listened to around 20+mins of your story on Radio4. Just got home and thought I need to find this guy and say what a story, what strong determined character, so many lovely people on your journey. You are so blessed. I know nothing more than the 20mins I heard, but feel you are and could be such an inspiration, role model to so many young people. JC college, brings back memories. Your brother, teacher(s), nurse, friend deserved a mention and thanks. And remember, don't give up the bus license, dad's watching. Respect.

Hi Phillip - I was listening to Life Changing and suddenly realised the lovely person being interviewed was you! You might not remeber me, but I was one of the dressers in The Lion King back in the day…. Wow - your story is so inspiring and you came across brilliantly.
She loves musical theatre but struggles to be selected because of the difficulty singing in tune. Would you have any advice you could give her?
Darren (Wednesday, 21 May 2025 22:29)
Loved you on Radio 4 today. Glad to see others felt the same!

Just heard the BBC interview on 'Life changing'. Normally, in the car, I switch the radio off and go inside the house. But this story was so well told that I stayed in the car for half an hour.
PB should know that when he needs/wants extra work he can do voice-overs. His rendition of various other characters' voices, esp. of his father, was gifted.

Phillip thank you so much for sharing your story. It was so joyous to hear you, and to hear your journey especially when Mufasa's words became your own. I feel cheeky asking here in public but I wonder if you'd be interested in having a chat about our music work with children and young people?
My name's Anna

Great that you have enjoyed such deserved success. I'm so proud to be able to say that I know you! Who knew, from the grounding space of the tiny church in Moseley, so many of us would go on to achieve great things.

Aloha, Phillip,
This may not be the best way to contact you, but I'm hoping you will see this message.
When we first saw you on the Riviera in 2023, we were blown away by your voice!
Then we were lucky enough to not only see you again on the Vista last year but also had a great time taking you to dinner.
Please let us know when you'll be on another Oceania ship. We're boarding the Vista on May 1st and have 22 more booked so hope to see you soon.
We'd love to take you to dinner again.
Love and Aloha,
Bonnie
